The Tale About The Ukulele

This unique instrument has affected the music landscape from every ocean, leaving its mark all over the world. To go back to its inception, methods to travel on a boat called the Raven Craig during the 1890s which was traveling from Portugal to Honolulu. Craftsmen were on board the boat sporting the Braguinha, an instrument that has a resemblance to the guitar. When the vessel finally landed in Honolulu, the wood workers demonstrated their instrument for the islanders to see. The ukulele became an instant favorite to the local people as they interpreted the new tiny guitar made of wood to be a part of their culture. The natives were surprised in seeing the carpenters’ fast ways of playing the guitar strings. They said that the action is a lot like a flea in a jumping activity.
